This is a force sensitive resistor with a 1.75 "x1.5" square detection area. This FSR
changes the resistance according to the pressure applied to the detection area. The stronger the force, the lower the pressure on the FSR and its resistance exceeds 1M. This FSR can detect forces applied anywhere in the range of 100g to 10kg.
Two pins extend 0.1 inch apart from the bottom of the sensor, making them suitable for breadboards. Opposite the detection area is a removable rubber lining for mounting the FSR.
Simply connect the resistors to form a voltage divider and measure the voltage at the junction to determine the applied force. These sensors are easy to set up and are great for detecting pressure, but they are not incredibly accurate. You can use them to detect when they are pressed, but you may not want to use them as a scale.
