A reed switch is a sensor that closes a circuit in the presence of a magnetic field. Read sensors can be used in many applications that require non-contact on / off. However, because reed switches are fragile when used directly, this module makes the sensor easier to handle and install in a variety of applications.
This is a kind of passive electronic switching element with contacts, simple structure, small size and easy to control. It consists of a sealed glass envelope containing two elastic iron tongues and is filled with an inert gas called rhodium.
Operated by the applied magnetic field. When the device is exposed to a magnetic field, the two iron-based materials inside the switch shrink and the switch closes. When the magnetic field is removed, the leads separate and the switch opens.
Difference Between R305 and R307 Finger print module::
- Open reed switch
- Working voltage: 3.3V ~ 5V
- Current: Upto 1.2A
- Comparator output, clean signal, great waveform, and strong driving ability
- Digital switch output (0 and 1)
- Fixed bolt hole for easy installation
