The color sensor based on TCS3200 is a complete color detector that can detect static colors. The output of the sensor is a square wave with a frequency that is directly proportional to the intensity of the incident light. It also supports fill lights with integrated LEDs. Includes TAOST CS3200 RGB sensor chip and 4 white LEDs. The TCS3200 can detect and measure an almost unlimited range of visible colors. Applications include test strip reading, color sorting, ambient light detection and calibration, and color matching, to name a few.
The
TCS3200 Color Sensor Board makes it very easy to capture and record the light intensity of the common red, green, and blue spectra of visible light while eliminating IR from the light source. You can then use the readings of these color sensors to log and find patterns, make creative calculations in electronic projects, and control decision making. The TCS3200GBB color sensor for the
Arduino has an array of photodetectors with or without a red, green, or blue filter (transparent).
The filters for each color are evenly distributed throughout the array, eliminating position variations between colors. Inside the device is an oscillator that produces a square wave with a frequency proportional to the intensity of the selected color.
