Hand gesture recognition technology is becoming more and more popular due to the recent growth and popularity of virtual and augmented reality technologies. In the previous tutorial, we trained a hand gesture recognition model to play rock-paper-scissors on a Raspberry Pi using Tensorflow and Keras. In this tutorial, we will use the MediaPipe Python library to recognize hand gestures and use them to control the Raspberry Pi MediaPlayer. Here we use a total of 6 hand gestures. H. Open and close your fist and move your hand up, down, left and right. The fist open / close gesture is used to play and pause the video. The top and bottom gestures are used to raise and lower the volume, and the left and right gestures are used to fast forward and rewind the video. Let's get started.
