Fall detection is a major challenge in healthcare. When an elderly person falls out of a wheelchair, it is very difficult to deal with. It is very serious and mainly leads to health problems. Therefore, we developed a fall detection system using IoT. When a person falls from the wheelchair, a buzzer sounds to alert people in the area and fall detection is updated in the cloud. Here we use IoT Gecko Web to connect to his WiFi network and view fall detection online. Fall detection detection uses accelerometer and gyro sensor. When the sensor reading exceeds a certain threshold, it recognizes a fall and sounds a buzzer. Users can receive alerts on the IoT Gecko website or app.
